Our Policies
Conduct
All group members are representatives of both Ice Crystals and the Peninsula Skating Club. Skaters are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior during practice sessions, as well as at performances and competitions.
- Skaters will be polite, courteous and respectful of both coaches and team members
- Skaters will work to the best of their ability to further the goals of the team
- Skaters will strive to set a good example for less experienced skaters
- Skaters will abide by all team eligibility requirements, and team code of conduct
- Skaters will not kick the boards, swear, stomp the ice, or participate in any other non-sportsmanlike conduct
Each skater is expected to give 100% during all practices. All skaters need to be attentive, give their best effort and maintain a positive attitude. [above: Grand Opening of the Downtown Walnut Creek on Ice - Nov, 2008]
Attendance
Every practice is critical. Skaters who must be absent should notify one of the team coaches. When a practice is missed, it is the skater's responsibility to find out what happened before the next practice. With limited practice time, it is not possible to backtrack.
Practices
Practices will begin precisely at the times scheduled. Please have skates on and be ready to go before the scheduled start of practice. Arriving late is a sign of disrespect to both the coaches and your teammates. [at right: team performance at a San Jose State Hockey Game]
