Meet Our Coaches

Stephanie Gathwright

Stephanie brings an impressive background to our team with over 19 years skating experience. Stephanie has been coaching figure skaters locally for 13+ years. She is a rated member of PSA (Professional Skaters Association) - Specializing in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Choreography. This is in addition to having tested through PSA, ISI, and USFSA. Stephanie frequently participates in continuing education seminars to help further her knowledge and expertise in skating.

Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Dance and Choreography, with an emphasis on Theater / Production. Previous to teaching skating, she was a dance coach for 9 years with a competitive dance group, and was an assistant dance teacher at West Valley College. She has worked her choreography magic with individual skaters, production groups, syncro teams, and theatre on ice.

In other related experience, Stephanie was a member of San Jose Children's Musical Theater for 6 years, and was a member of the original San Jose Children's Theater Tour Group "The Neighborhood Kids".

In addition to working with the Ice Crystals, Stephanie coaches individual skaters from beginning recreational levels through high competitive levels. She really enjoys working with kids and helps them to achieve their best. We are really happy to have her working with our team.
